Silicon Valley Classic 2018

San Jose, CALIFORNIA – July 29-August 4, 2018: Mihaela Buzarnescu defeated in the final Maria Sakkari in straight sees 6-1 6-0 to clinch her first WTA title at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic in San Jose. A strong field full of former WTA number one players such as Serena and VenusWilliams, and Victoria Azarenka wasn’t enough to stop Buzarnescu to achieve her highest WTA singles ranking as No. 20.
